ARCHITECTURE NOTE / 01 · SEPTEMBER 2026

Independent ventures.
Common foundations.

Replikate Labs builds and owns ventures. Replikate.xyz is the technology arm: a shared layer of services that each venture can adopt without giving up its own market focus.

Target architecture. Shared services are not yet publicly available.

THE CONTRACT

Reuse capability.
Keep responsibility clear.

Commercial operators own the customer relationship and the venture’s priorities. Labs provides architecture and technical direction. The platform supplies common building blocks with named owners and explicit service boundaries.

A shared login identifies a person. It does not automatically grant access to every venture or merge their customer records.

THE PLATFORM LAYERS

Start with contracts.
Then build the services.

Each service needs a consumer, an owner, documented behaviour and a testable boundary.

01 / IDENTITY

Replikate Account

id.replikate.xyz · proposed

Common sign-in through an established identity provider using OpenID Connect. Each venture validates the user and checks its own membership, roles and access.

  • Separate venture access and consent
  • Account linking and recovery
  • Session revocation and audit history
02 / COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

Usage & billing

Record what each service costs to run. Track usage, entitlements and budgets before introducing any shared credit system.

  • Cost attribution and spend caps
  • Idempotent usage records
  • Venture-specific subscriptions
Shared metering supports profitability; it does not require charging portfolio operators.
03 / ADMINISTRATION

Console & support

A proposed workspace for staff to see approved tasks, operating issues and service health across the ventures they are authorised to support.

  • Scoped staff access
  • Approval queues and escalation
  • Logged, limited support access
04 / AI PLATFORM

Agents, models & tools

Reusable task runners, retrieval and model access. Carry venture context through every task and put human approval before consequential actions.

  • Versioned SDK and tool contracts
  • Evaluation, tracing and cost visibility
  • Scoped memory and data access

DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Shared does not
mean entangled.

Prove reuse first.

Promote a venture component into the platform when a second venture can use it. A central team should remove repeated work, not become a queue that blocks every product.

Open deliberately.

Release OSS only with a licence, maintainer, documentation and a security review. Publish benchmarks with methods and limitations; use datasets only when rights and provenance are clear.

Measure the outcome.

Track time to integrate, task quality, cost per completed workflow and operator follow-through. Downloads and a long catalogue are not enough.
